Realspace Mezza L Shaped Glass Computer Desk
I was in Office Depot reviewing their l desk selection and came across the Realspace Mezza L Shaped Desk. As you can see from the pictures I took, this was priced at $199 but apparently it’s cheaper online at $169.
Odds are you’re going to like this desk. Just going by the look, you can tell it’s got some stylish elements to it with the cherry wood and chrome trim to go along with the glass. What I really liked was the spacial element that the l desk brought. For example, say I’m working on one side with my computer and then I swivel my chair to the other side to get something else done – say writing on a paper or reading a book.

Assembly for the Realspace Mezza L Desk from Office Depot will take you anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on how carefully you read the instructions, how many mistakes you make, and if you have any assistance. Follow the directions carefully the first time around and you’ll play it safe with about 2 hours invested. If you run through it perfect the first time, you may be able to approach that 1 hour mark. It is very important than on the assembly of the Mezza l shaped desk that you not tighten all the screws down. You need to have play in the desk to make sure it is aligned first.
Office Depot really made a great value with this one. At only $170 bucks, this looks professional, works great in the home and clearly has the functionality required. Once you put it together, it’s also pretty sturdy unlike a lot of other similar retail store desks. To really hit the spot, I recommend a nice black office leather chair with a swivel to fully utilize both sides of the desk.
I enjoy the l shape glass look. If you’ll notice the keyboard tray is a little small and it’s probably the most regrettable aspect of the Mezza home office desk. Some of you may wish there was actually a keyboard tray on both sides but I think one is probably ok. Well, then again I only have one desktop computer.
For my review, I give the Realspace Mezza L Shaped Glass Desk a very good B+ rating. It’s not perfect, but it looks sleek and the price is nearly unbeatable for the quality you’re going to get. Head to the store, check it out for yourself and let us know your impression.
